First DW RP account, but not first RP experience in general. It'll probably be a little awkward at first because I have no idea how DW works and Starscream's a new muse.
AUs:
- Halo/Red vs Blue: Starscream's floated in space for a long, LONG time since his Autobot-sabotaged attempt to get himself a body again. Apparently, long enough for around five hundred years to have passed while he was busy being unconscious. Now, well... Better to hide and figure out what in the Pit is going on first. A Sabre is not the alt-mode he would like, but it's better than being caught in this strange new era.
- Autobot Starscream: Either Starscream is the one who went down in the ice, or both he and Skyfire did. Either way, the Seeker that emerges is a far cry from the back-stabbing, power-hungry mech he usually would become. And he's willing to take a stand against those threatening this world and all the mechs still fighting for it. Because he's a scientist, slaggit.

Someone's about to make a friend.
Date: 2020-08-20 12:45 am (UTC)What is weird however is this the fact this. Well Palomo isn't sure what this is. He's never really seen a much outside of Chorus. In fact.
Palomo is sure he's seen it move. "Wake up Charles. Its scrape. Just take what you can and get back to base with your findings."
Re: Someone's about to make a friend.
Date: 2020-08-20 12:52 am (UTC)In some ways, it had reminded him far too much of that polar storm, all those years ago.At some point in the descent and crash, he had blacked out. Now systems are only barely struggling online, the world coming into a poor excuse at focus. Ugh. He'd have to reboot his optics. And there was this voice... Primus, don't let it be an Autobot. Wings twitch groggily, but he's still a bit too fuzzy to actually try and sit up.
Re: Someone's about to make a friend.
Date: 2020-08-20 01:01 am (UTC)Honestly. He should of had Jensen with him. She knows machine shit better then he every will. He's better at putting a foot in his mouth then engineering.
"Okay. You are WAY too well put together. Who ever made you really didn't want you taken apart. Congrats." He says aloud to himself and kicks at what Palomo is half sure is just a normal space plane.
God he really needs to know technically terms of all this. Jensen would kill him if she knew he didn't remember a damn name to any of their military gear.
Re: Someone's about to make a friend.
Date: 2020-08-20 01:12 am (UTC)"Scram, retrorat!" And with that, what had been a beat up Sabre suddenly unfolds, wings moving to its back, arms and legs springing from where they were stowed, and Starscream - looking supremely peeved - glares down at- At whatever this is. Whatever it is, it's small enough to squash. But Starscream suppresses the urge to grind it beneath his pede for now; he needs to figure out where the frag he is and what year it is, first.
Re: Someone's about to make a friend.
Date: 2020-08-20 01:24 am (UTC)Can this even be damaged by bullets? "Woah!" In the end though. It is kind of cool to see machine come to life. Palomo stares up at him. His helmet glints alittle. Is this some kind of new Mantis model?
Perhaps something like that Lopez guy that the Captains sometimes mentions. "Hey!" Palomo lowers his arm on his side. Forgetting entirely his gun. "Don't scram me! Mantis model, thing." Palomo puts his hands to his hips. "Are you a Mantis model? Weird as fuck Mantis."
Re: Someone's about to make a friend.
Date: 2020-08-20 01:33 am (UTC)"And I have some questions. Where have I landed? What planet is this?"
Re: Someone's about to make a friend.
Date: 2020-08-20 01:39 am (UTC)The Captains are great! But they're not giants. And it would be good to have someone extra in the pocket right?
"Currently you're in the northern most entrance to our mines." Palomo shrugs dropping his formality slightly. "Kind of sucks you got dragged down here though. We're lucky to be out of most places of sight. I mean don't want use getting shot at!" Palomo laughs.
"But before you ask. We're in a civil war country, sir. You landed in the worst place at the worst time."
no subject
Date: 2020-08-20 01:50 am (UTC)He turns, narrowing his optics as he surveys the entrance to these mines. "Tell me more about this civil war of yours."
no subject
Date: 2020-08-20 02:06 am (UTC)Palomo takes a deep breath in. "I don't know how to simplify it more then that sir. The Federation slaughtered us. So we're hiding in the one place they won't look. The one place they abandoned."
Palomo slowly stops rocking on his feet. "They killed everything." His enthusiasm stops.
"We've hired a gun for hire, the Feds hired one bigger in retaliation. We get a chance for hope. The Federation strikes back by stealing half of it."
no subject
Date: 2020-08-21 12:30 am (UTC)Slyly, pulling on an air of concern, "And your... Resources? This planet doesn't offer enough to go head to head with this Federation- Or do they hold all the cards?" Ugh. An Earth-ism. No matter how much he tried, they snuck into his vocabulary like retrorats.
no subject
Date: 2020-08-21 01:24 am (UTC)"We have alien material in our bunker." Palomo points to the floating towers off in the far distance. "There's also those. Mostly pretty towers but they were once Something powerful." Palomo shrugs. "We can't get them to work. But its great for scavenging and paying our merc with what's collected." Palomo pulls his arms back behind himself.
"The Federation though has a monopoly on food and water. We have engine fuel for various vehicles but still."
no subject
Date: 2020-08-21 01:30 am (UTC)But dead lackeys were also of no use. He wondered to himself for an idle moment whether this so-called Federation would be better to consort with, but- No. Alien material, instead of whatever monetary system they had on this planet? Well, that sounded like a far better deal to Starscream. "You're in a famine situation."
no subject
Date: 2020-08-21 01:37 am (UTC)Like with the Captains. Now he just needs to either bring in this Air Force Commander. Or sneak some out himself. The war with the alien species on the outer limits of the system may very well still be happening. And granted he's not sure Felix would agree to work with an alien giant.
"Do you require it right away? It might be some time to get some. Oh fuck. I never introduced myself. I'm Lieutenant Charles Palomo!" He salutes and feels tense.
no subject
Date: 2020-08-21 01:49 am (UTC)Despite that, he does his best, winning smile down at this Lieutenant. Wasn't it lovely to get shown a little respect? "A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lieutenant Charles Palomo. I'll have to see your alien technology at some point. It sounds very promising."
no subject
Date: 2020-08-21 01:56 am (UTC)Palomo though feels his ears are red with some kind of warning. Like he should know better. But! Starscream seems trustworthy. He's got heroic colours on him. Red and Blue. What's not to trust about that!
no subject
Date: 2020-08-21 02:01 am (UTC)Those red and blue wings, flicking in thought, also have a rather prominent - if faded and chipped - purple symbol on them, of course.
Don't worry about it.no subject
Date: 2020-08-21 02:06 am (UTC)But it can't be helped. "I'm already meant to be out here looking for parts anyway. They won't judge why I'm taking extra fuel to the towers!"
He looks at the purple symbol. Palomo wonders if its a Symbol of Rank. Or home. He hunches over for only a second then pops back to place. "I'll be there in an hour, sir!"
no subject
Date: 2020-08-21 03:13 am (UTC)He nods, and in one smooth movement, jumps up. Parts refold, click together perfectly, and the form of the Saber hovers there in mid-air like no real starfighter of its kind can. "I'll expect to see you in an hour then, Lieutenant!"
And, with a rumble of his engines, Starscream is off like a shot.
no subject
Date: 2020-08-21 03:26 am (UTC)Then again he also claims to be an Air Force Commander. Which tracks if he is a jet himself.
Palomo decides to push that thought out for the time being and work on things better in the moment. Like giving this alien bot some resources. Share that good will. And hopefully receive some back.
"Commander Starscream! I'm here." Palomo shouts he drives through the fallen gates of the amusement park. It was a well enough sized park yelling might not be enough. But Palomo could possible park the jeep and look for the Air Force Alien. Or maybe this guy's tech might of spotted him already and he won't have to deal with that.
no subject
Date: 2020-08-21 09:02 pm (UTC)But he brightens upon seeing that this little creature has not only brought him the direly needed fuel, but some of that very tech he asked after. Oh, if only half the Decepticons that had been under his command had this kind of initiative! "Lieutenant!" He moves just enough so Palomo can see the flash of that blue and red, waving him over. "Let me see what you've brought."
no subject
Date: 2020-08-21 09:16 pm (UTC)He struggles to keep his feet steady as he hurries on them. "I've gotten guns, some old trackers. Pretty sure the big one in the jeep used to be a communication device. Or a vehicle. I'm not the expert." Palomo says with a light laugh. He then slips on his feet. Falling over.
Nothing is spilled but Palomo is caught with weight on his back and helmet slammed into the dirt. "This is why Tucker keeps telling you one thing at a time dumbass." He murmurs to himself.
no subject
Date: 2020-08-22 12:22 am (UTC)Ah, that was much better. It wasn't energon, but without the proper technology to convert it, this would have to do.
"You've done well, Lieutenant." Did he hear the self-deprecation? He most certainly did, and it's easy for Starscream to inject a little honey into his words. "Your initiative is much appreciated."
no subject
Date: 2020-08-22 01:31 am (UTC)He then tenses more and drops his arms to his side looking up at Starscream and if his helmet was off would be grinning.
Showing that indeed Palomo received too little praise. Though the young Lieutenant would agree. He very rarely deserved it.
"It is my please, sir!" Palomo's voice is chipper and loud. Before he freezes up and crosses his arms in front of himself. Taking a moment to calm and then starts to take some of the tools off himself.
"Alright. Lets see what all in here is usable to you. I did gather some other information about more crash sites around Chorus. If we're lucky we might find something based on the ship you are mimicking. So any damages could be repairable that way." Palomo starts rambling only half sure what he's saying. He takes out a map of the their continent and puts it over the alien tech for the moment. Then under it as he decides it'll keep the wind from blowing it away. "Sorry its not a bigger map."
no subject
Date: 2020-08-22 09:21 pm (UTC)He adjusts his position and peers down at the map, head tilted slightly. "That is a perfect idea, Lieutenant." The map is committed to his memory banks with a pleased hum, taking in all the locations with a strategist's practiced optic. "I commend you for considering all the angles here."
Idly, he'll pick up one of the pieces of alien tech, turning it over in his hands. Definitely not Cybertronian make, he reflects, but it piques his interest all the same.
no subject
Date: 2020-08-22 09:36 pm (UTC)"I do my best," Palomo says shyly but with a coy demeanor. He looks back to the map. Pointing at spots on it. "We should be here! The main tower Amusement park. Not everywhere as all this equipment though. So if you see something that might help you here. Pack it up." Palomo has a serious tone in his voice that quickly dies into playful. "I always keep forgetting important things at the base like a sniper scope."
He looks back up. "Speaking of forgetting things. Sir, do you know if any of your men had fallen to Chorus with you or were you alone?" There's a tone of concern in Palomo's voice.
no subject
Date: 2020-08-22 10:39 pm (UTC)Never mind he had no slagging clue how much time had passed.
But he makes an effort to put that feeling away for now, a box he'd get into later. Instead he declares, spinning the tiny (to him) piece of alien tech in his hand, "I'll have to study these- And searching the other locations shouldn't be hard." As long as he's fueled. "Well, you didn't miss anything this time. I'm impressed."
no subject
Date: 2020-08-22 11:04 pm (UTC)Palomo then shakes his head and nods at the praise. "I made extra sure I stayed on track! After all, you're a guest on this planet." He then nods. "I'll be sure to keep you supplied. But I do gotta be careful on my end. I didn't really get permission to do this."
There's silence for a short ten seconds. "I stole a little from the pile that goes to our merc."

Date: 2020-08-23 09:37 pm (UTC)He moves his hands down and unlatches his helmet and takes it off. Letting cold air hit him. "That's so much better. There's nothing near here for miles so if you wanna take off your helmet too its fine. Then again. I don't think that's a helmet is it."

Date: 2020-08-25 07:13 pm (UTC)"...What the slag? You're a human!? When the frag did humans get starships!?"
no subject
Date: 2020-08-25 07:29 pm (UTC)Palomo moves his arm back and rubs the back of his neck. "Are you from.. out of the system? We've been out and about the galaxy for so long now." Palomo squints taking his arm down again.
If he was familiar with humans he might of been from the Milky Way but. How can you be from there and NOT KNOW?
"Its fine if you didn't know. I know jack shit about Earth so. Wait no that's not." Palomo purses his lips trying to figure out how to explain anything. "Are you not.. familiar at all with the Great War? How old even are you, Sir?" Palomo's heart sinks a little.
"How long were you even offline?"
no subject
Date: 2020-08-26 01:41 am (UTC)The implications are troubling. How long has he been out? And this Lieutenant doesn't even know what a Cybertronian is! Even if the Decepticons are gone, where the slag are the Autobots!?
no subject
Date: 2020-08-26 02:11 am (UTC)"Millions of years? Twenty of mine.. I.. I don't."
He tenses standing up nearly tripping over his own helmet. Looking down and kicking it away. Palomo was not trained for something like this. How can anything be millions of years in age.
Palomo tries to take a step forward and tenses as Starscream voice booms in his ears. "Sir!" Palomo tries to call to him. "I.. I don't know how to help with this, sir." How does anyone know how to help with this. Palomo holds his arms to himself.
So small. In shear, age, size and strength. But Palomo doesn't run even if the warnings in his ears tell him to.

Date: 2020-08-26 03:07 am (UTC)Palomo swallows looking up at Starscream. Careful of anything coming out of his mouth. Truth is, Tucker might actually be the NICE commander after all.

Date: 2020-08-26 03:16 am (UTC)His vents are cycling heavily as he turns away just as abruptly, spitting curses and stomping off. Well, he doesn't make it very far; on the way, he kicks at a building whose roof has collapsed inwards and hits a bit of machinery inside. There's a squawk of pain and a hop to clutch his poor pede. Who knew Cybertronians got the equivalent of stubbed toes?
no subject
Date: 2020-08-26 03:25 am (UTC)"I can't imagine what its like." If they were all dead and that's why he was left all alone. That's one thing. But if it was another. Palomo dreads the very thought. So he finally approaches the Commander slowly. Watching his feet carefully. In case he starts to pace again.

Date: 2020-08-28 12:03 am (UTC)"Lieutenant Palomo! Judging by human cycles, I would assume you have to get back to your faction at some point. When you return, bring me some information on human history for the past five hundred or so years." A pause, a consider, then grudgingly, "If they exist."
no subject
Date: 2020-08-28 12:13 am (UTC)No Palomo is more worried he'll be yelled at for not collecting proper material for the day and spending all of it with Starscream. Not that he's gonna explain that. Nah he's just gonna let himself take full fall. Till he can figure out a way to explain any of this.
"I can't promise we have alot of detail on Chorus for human history but! Oh! Simmons! He's a nerd!" Palomo starts off saying rather loudly and his volume lowers before shouting again. "I'll be right on it, Sir. You can count on me!" Palomo salutes and hurries back to his jeep.

Date: 2020-08-28 10:42 pm (UTC)He leans down, and scoops up the lost helmet, turning it over carefully in his fingers. Well. He wasn't Air Commander for nothing. There was still opportunity here- And Starscream would be a fool not to take it.
This planet would be his.
